How Do You Have Courageous Conversations About TGX+ Inclusion?

Have you been having courageous conversations about TGX+ inclusion in your workplace?

While some of you may answer “yes” to this question, I imagine the majority of folks’ answer is… “no.” Or at least, “not yet.”

Having conversations about identity in the workplace can be really challenging. It can feel uncomfortable and vulnerable, especially when discussing TGX+ inclusion, which for most people, comes with a big learning curve.

You may question yourself and ask “Do I have the right language? What if I get this wrong?”

Here’s the thing…

You don’t need to have all the right words in order to be effective in these conversations. In fact, connecting over the human experience of learning alongside your employees can have a huge impact on those who struggle with TGX+ identities.

Of course, you want to be prepared. Having a plan for courageous conversations about TGX+ inclusion will allow you to feel more confident and know how to navigate the discussion, even if there is still a learning curve for you and others involved.

I want you to think about a difficult conversation or scenario that has come up for you in your workplace around TGX+ inclusion. What challenging scenarios have you encountered? How have you been able to address them (if at all)?

If you have specific questions or scenarios surrounding courageous conversations, why not join our monthly virtual TGX+ Inclusion Roundtable? You will be given the option to remain anonymous or join me to discuss your question live!
